The Objects and Reasons of this Bill are to introduce the Public Finance Management Act, 2019, to regulate financial management in Government, to ensure the effective and efficient management of all assets and liabilities, cash flow, and revenue and expenditure of the Government; to define responsibilities of public employees entrusted with the financial management of government; to provide for other matters related with or incidental to the purposes aforesaid, and to provide for the regulation, management and accountability of public funds and resources, and the control and auditing thereof.
