AN ACT to provide for the establishment of a body to be known as the Human Rights and Equality Commission in line with the principles relating to the Status of National Institutions (The Paris Principles) and European Union equality legislation, responsible for the promotion and protection of human rights including the right to equal treatment and nondiscrimination in Malta; to provide for the dissolution of the National Commission for the Promotion of Equality for Men and Women and to provide for the conferral of its functions to the Human Rights and Equality Commission and to make provision with respect to matters ancillary thereto or connected therewith.
