The objects and reasons of this Bill are to establish the Property Market Agency for the purpose of acting as a regulatory Agency in respect of property intermediaries in the context of a new regulatory framework also taking over the functions performed by the Licensing Board formerly established under the Real Estate Agents, Property Brokers and Property Consultants Act (Cap. 615). The Bill also provides for an enhanced regulation of property market intermediaries.
