The Object of the Bill is to provide for the applicability of the principal Act also to Bills introducing charges leviable on goods on their importation into Malta. The Bill also extends the operation of the provisions of the principal Act from a period of four months to a period of six months after notice of a Bill having for its object the imposition of a new duty or the increase of an existing duty.
