The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Anglu Farrugia expresses his deepest sorrow following the tragic terroristic attack early this morning in Istanbul, Turkey, which resulted in the death of thirty-nine persons and the infliction of serious wounds on several other people.

 

On behalf of the Members of the House of Representatives, he conveys his sincerest condolences to Mr Ismail Kahraman, Speaker, and to the Honourable Members of the Grand National Assembly of the Turkey, as well as to the members of the family of the deceased. He also expressed solidarity with his Turkish counterparts in the fight against terrorism, which is a serious threat against democracy and freedom.
