President of the National Assembly of People’s Power of Cuba receives the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Malta
Yesterday afternoon, the President of the Cuban National Assembly of People’s Power Juan Esteban Lazo Hernández received Speaker Anġlu Farrugia, who is leading a parliamentary delegation on an official visit to Cuba.
During the meeting they discussed themes of mutual interest.
Speaker Farrugia said that although the diplomatic relations between both countries were established way back in 1977, there is still ample scope to further deepen the cooperation between the two countries in various areas such as trade, culture, and climate change, which could be of mutual benefit.
The Speaker-led delegation is comprised of Government Whip Byron Camilleri and Member of Parliament Hermann Schiavone.
