The object of this Bill is to decimalise the Maltese currency and to make provision for conversions to the new currency. The unit of currency will remain the Malta pound, but the pound will, as from a day to be appointed by the Minister responsible for finance, be divided into one hundred cents, each cent being divided into ten mils.
