Dr Byron Camilleri LL.D. is a member of the Maltese Parliament and the current Government Whip. Dr Camilleri was elected to Parliament in June 2017, having served as Mayor for the locality of Fgura since August 2010.
Dr Camilleri heads the Maltese Parliament’s delegation to the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), and is a member on the Standing Committee on House Business, Standing Committee for Standards in Public Life and the Standing Committee on Privileges.
Dr Camilleri graduated from the University of Malta with Bachelor of Laws (2009), Diploma of Notary Public (2010) and Doctor of Laws (2012), and was subsequently awarded the warrant to practice as an Advocate in 2013.Â
