The main object of this Bill is to establish the profession of social work in Malta and to regulate the exercise of the profession. The Bill also provides in relation to the requirements necessary to obtain a warrant to practise the profession of social work, and for matters connected therewith or ancillary thereto, thus safeguarding the rights
of service users.
