PR141651 - THE SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES EXPRESSES CONDOLENCES TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE SENATE OF THE NETHERLANDS

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Hon. Dr Anġlu Farrugia, has written to H.E. Ankie Broekers-Knol, President of the Senate of the Netherlands, expressing his deepest sorrow over the tragic death of the Dutch Senator, Professor Willem Witteveen, who was among the 298 victims of the Malaysian aircraft, which was brought down on Eastern Ukraine last Thursday, 17th July 2014.

On behalf of the Members of the House of Representatives, Mr Speaker conveyed his sincerest condolences to the President and Honourable members of the Senate of the Netherlands as well as to the members of the family of the deceased.
