​​Today, the High Commissioner of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Jashim Uddin paid a courtesy visit to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Parliament of Malta Anġlu Farrugia.

The two dignitaries recalled the good relations enjoyed between Malta and Bangladesh ever since they were established in December 1970 as well as their meeting held in November 2015.

They highlighted the importance which both countries attach to their initiatives in regional and international affairs, thereby supporting the peaceful coexistence of different cultures and religions. They also discussed the setting up of a Parliamentary Friendship Group between the Parliaments of the two countries.

The High Commissioner of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Jashim Uddin was accompaned by Mr Sujan Debnath, First Secretary and HOC at the High Commission of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in Athens, Greece.
