The objects of this Bill are to transfer the regulatory and other functions of the director to the Director General responsible for Local Government, provide for the revocation of existing bye-laws when the subject-matter is enacted as regulations of general application, empower the Director to issue directives relating to the holding of council meetings other than in the council administrative offices, enable alternative measures to the existing Pool of prospective Executive Secretaries, and amend the locality maps of the Żurrieq and Ħal Safi localities to designate two roads as distributor roads.
