The objects and reasons of this Bill are to amend the principal Act to better protect the needs of the Maltese living abroad, who are nowadays found all around the world, beyond the areas traditionally associated with Maltese migration. As a result of these amendments, there shall be better representation from these communities on the Council for Maltese Living Abroad, while the principal Act shall be more adapted for the workings of this same Council.
