The objects and reasons of this Bill are to facilitate the reintroduction into society and the rehabilitation of persons who were sentenced to a criminal punishment, by reducing the obstacles faced by such persons trying to re-integrate into society after they have served their sentences. This Bill is part of the wider picture which includes restorative justice, victim support and the enhancement of the quality of correctional measures in general.
