The objects and reasons of this Bill are to create a new authority to eventually act as the sole competent authority with regard to food in Malta, and to transfer certain powers to the Minister responsible for food as part of a reorganisation of competences, as well as other consequential amendments deemed necessary for the purposes of the Act.
